The Accu-Chek Aviva Combo is a meter that is designed to work in combination with the Accu-Chek Spirit Combo insulin pump In addition, the meter can function as a stand alone blood glucose meter in its own right.
Using Accu-Chek Aviva test strips, the meter has a colour display and a memory capacity of 1000 diary records. It boasts new features, including remote control of the Accu-Chek Spirit Combo insulin pump via Bluetooth wireless technology.
The Accu-Chek Aviva Combo meets the 2013 ISO standards for glucose meter accuracy.
Built in Calculator
It also has an built-in bolus calculator, and a variety of programmable reminders (such as to test after low blood glucose, after high blood glucose or after meal, an alarm clock and other date reminders for doctors visits or an infusion set change).
You can also enter what they call ‘health events ‘, which means any exercise you are taking, if you’re feeling stressed or ill, as these factors can influence blood sugar readings.
It only requires a small blood sample (of 0.6 ‘) and measures from 0.6-to-33.3 mmol/L).
