To make Sticky Chicken, you'll need:
  • 6 chicken drumsticks
  • 6 chicken thighs
FOR THE MARINADE:
  • 3 tbsp. light soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp. agave nectar
  • Juice of a lemon
  • 6 garlic cloves, finely chopped
  • 1 tbsp. ginger, finely chopped
  • 3 tsp. ground allspice
  • 1 green chilli, finely chopped

Method

  • Pop the soy sauce, agave nectar, lemon juice, garlic, ginger, allspice and chilli into a large bowl and mix thoroughly.
  • Slit the chicken and fill with marinade.
  • Cover the chicken with cling film and put in the fridge overnight.
  • Preheat the oven to Gas Mark 6 or 200°C.
  • Then, place the chicken in a roasting tin. Pour on any remaining marinade and roast the chicken in the oven for 40 minutes.
  • The chicken will be ready when it's sticky and golden.
  • Serve with a side of homemade coleslaw and enjoy!
