Alternatively, you can order any time by phone or online and have your prescription delivered to your chosen address. How the service works
Once you've signed up (which shouldn't take more than a few minutes) the service works much like any other online delivery. You give us an address, and the pharmacy dispense and deliver your repeat prescription via Royal Mail. If you're not in for any reason, we can leave it with a neighbour or in a safe location.

Why can I trust the Diabetes.co.uk Prescription Service?
Diabetes.co.uk (DCUK) have partnered with Pharmacy2U to provide the Diabetes.co.uk Prescription Service (DCUK+). Pharmacy2U provide NHS prescription dispensing services and specialise in the home delivery of medicines and are UK's largest NHS contracted pharmacy*, specialists in the direct to patient delivery of medicines for 17 years (*NHSBSA, April 2015).
How is my medicine delivered?
All of your medicines will be delivered by Royal Mail in plain, discreet packaging. We will let you know when we despatch your medicines and also send an email or text message on the day of delivery to let you know when your parcel will arrive. Items are sent by Royal Mail Tracked 24.
Is delivery always free?
Yes it is. Delivery for the NHS repeat prescription service is always free of charge. Items are sent by Royal Mail Tracked 24.
What are the free of charge delivery options?
We can deliver to any address - your home, your place of work, to a carer or neighbour. Delivery is free and items are sent by Royal Mail Tracked 24. You can choose a safe place if you are not home to accept delivery or if they still can't deliver, a card will be left so you can arrange re-delivery for free.
What if I'm out when my delivery arrives?
Royal Mail will leave it with your neighbour if they are in. If they still can't deliver, they will leave a card to let you know they have been. You can then call to arrange redelivery for free.
How are items that require temperature control (such as insulin) delivered?
Where your medicines require temperature stability (e.g. insulin), they are packed in specialist, wool-cool packaging along with a cool pack for delivery to your chosen address. This insulated packaging includes a cool-pack and is clearly marked with a blue label "Fridge item inside this package". This ensures that your medicines arrive having been kept within the manufacturers recommended temperature range.
What is EPS?
Electronic Prescription Service (EPS) is an NHS Service. It is a new way to get your medicines and gives you the chance to change how your GP sends your prescriptions to the pharmacy.
What does this mean for me? If you collect your repeat prescriptions from your GP you will not have to visit your GP practice to pick up your paper prescription. Instead, your GP will send it electronically, saving you time.
How does EPS work?
You choose your pharmacy to receive the electronic prescription. This is called nomination. Any pharmacy operating full EPS can be nominated. Patients are not restricted to nominating a pharmacy near their GP practice. However, you can only nominate one pharmacy at a time.
If you want to change or cancel your nomination, all you need to do is speak to your GP practice or any pharmacist that offers EPS.
